Leadership

Three partners.
One conviction.

Kismet is run by its partners. No layers and no committees. Every conversation, from a mandate review to a league introduction, is handled by the people whose names are on the record.

Arthur Griffiths

Arthur Griffiths

Co-Founder & Managing Partner

Few names in Canadian sport carry the weight of Arthur Griffiths. He started in the family business in 1980, working for the Vancouver Canucks at the Pacific Coliseum, and by 1985 was the youngest governor in the NHL, serving as Chairman and Chief Executive of the club. He took the helm of the business in 1986, and in 1993 bought the team from his family, a first season as owner crowned by the run to the 1994 Stanley Cup Final.

In 1994 he brought the NBA to the west coast of Canada by founding the Vancouver Grizzlies, an expansion won by convincing the premier basketball league in the world that Vancouver belonged on its map. A year later he opened General Motors Place, the privately financed arena he conceived and built. Thirty years on, as Rogers Arena, it remains home of the Canucks and the heart of downtown Vancouver.

He went on to chair the bid society for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, the first act of the movement that brought the Games to British Columbia. His contribution to sport has been recognised with induction into the BC Hockey Hall of Fame alongside his family and into the BC Sports Hall of Fame. At Kismet, Arthur leads origination and league relationships, the conversations where an ownership record matters more than any pitch book.

Sukh Purewal

Sukh Purewal

Co-Founder & Managing Partner

Sukh Purewal is one of the founding Managing Partners of Kismet, the firm's architect for everything that sits behind an ownership position.

A former boxer, he brings the preparation and composure of elite competition to every capital decision, discipline sharpened over a career delivering multi-billion-dollar real estate, infrastructure, and sports infrastructure projects across the UK, Qatar, and Canada, including the London 2012 Olympic programme and the New Doha International Airport. That work taught him venue economics, delivery risk, and stakeholder complexity from the inside, and made him fluent in derisking complex mandates and running M&A where deep sector knowledge decides the outcome.

At Kismet, Sukh leads strategy, structuring, and investor relations. He draws on that sports and infrastructure background to connect operations with delivery, and is leading Kismet's expansion from a single franchise into a broader, diversified ownership platform.
